Brick Wall

I think we all have felt stopped in our tracks, by some invisible wall our minds have subconsciously built. It stands in front of us, looming with a powerfully dark shadow casting us into total darkness. Personally I've built walls I no longer have the strength to break down, I don't even have the proper tools to  begin to trying to tear them down. It's a scary place to be, stopped from advancing by some un- weirding force, trapped in our own maze. At some point I realized I wasn't going to tear it down, there was no going through it. I looked up and realized something, something we all need to recognize as we face these formidable securities... As humans we don't have the strenght to do anything about them, let HIM lift you above your walls, and over to the light. Admit your issues honestly and openly. Then lift up your hands...and watch what He does.

Seesaw

I don't often suggest things to others, especially reading material seeing as I have a love for video games and movies... Books have been a past time. But one book I do keep up with is Jesus Calling. I would strongly suggest picking up a copy at your local Christian book store. While reading today's page I came across an idea that unthought I would share, it's about a seesaw. I remember as a kid loving the power of pushing off the ground as hard as I could and soaring towards the sky, then waiting for my friend to do the same so I could descend back toward the earth. What I realize now is the trust I had that my friend wouldn't let me stay lingering in mid air- I had to...

The Return

I would have to say as far as bloggers go...I have failed miserably. I have let my blog become infested with spiders and piles of dust over the past year of attention I have not paid towards it. But I AM BACK. And this time I vow to keep up with my words, encouragement, spiritual findings and otherwise! I guess todays post goes out to something I learned while pondering great poets from Emily Dickenson to Langston Hughes. And though non of you are in need of a history lesson, here is a short summary of Emily Dickenson's character. She was a lonely soul who spent most of her days amiss in her bedroom, keeping silent while speaking loudly through her poems. Her intent was to constantly question the need for a God, any God...any spiritual being non the less. This one spoke the loudest to me, it is called "Apparently with no suprise." And it goes like this: "Apparently with no surprise,  To any happy flower, The frsot beheads it at its play, the blond assasin p...
